Calling all photographers! It’s time to submit those cute photos of our beloved beagles. This year, our judge is Samantha Lengyl.

- 1st prizes will receive 4×6 of the winning photo printed on slate
Winners will be displayed at the National. Slate displays created by Albritton’s Art.

Meet Our Judge – Samantha Lengyl
My name is Samantha Lengyel of Foxfire Beagles. I have worked in the design and creative arts field since earning my graphic design degree in design in 2005, and I have enjoyed freelance photography for more than two decades. While both have been important parts of my life, nothing has inspired my photography more than Beagles.
I truly live and breathe this breed. Beagles are woven into nearly every part of my life, and one of my greatest joys is capturing them through a camera lens. I love the artistry of capturing that iconic, soft pleading expression through thoughtful lighting, composition, and posing, showcasing the breed at its very best. But just as much, I truly love those unplanned moments that reveal who they really are: the chaos, noses to the ground, ears flying, tails wagging and just the merry, silly spirit these hounds are every single day.
To me, the best Beagle photographs capture more than a beautiful dog. They capture the spirit of the breed: the joy, determination, curiosity, and charm that make us all fall in love with these merry little hounds.
It is a true honor to serve as the 2026 National Beagle Club Photography Competition Judge. I look forward to seeing the creativity and talent within our community and, most of all, to seeing the many wonderful ways you capture the heart and spirit of our beloved Beagles.
